Pandemic pounds? Not here. . . I joined Denise’s in-person Zumba classes several years ago, when I had just a sliver of time to attend, maybe once or twice a week if I was really lucky! With more time on my hands beginning in March 2020 with the Covid shut-down, “Zooming” onto Denise’s sessions became a highlight of my day and of my exercise routine. An hour worth of Zoom Zumba averages about 4,300 steps and accomplishes my workout goals for the day. And yes, it has effectively helped to keep my weight during Covid to pre-pandemic levels, in spite of my occasional stress eating. Beyond all that, somehow, even in the glow of the computer screen, Denise manages to establish a sense of community and camaraderie between her clients. We all have the same goal. . . to be strong!
I will forever be thankful for Denise for her part in getting me through the Covid Crises in strong shape, physically and mentally, with her serotonin-inducing workouts.
